In a separate incident on June 25, 2026, at 2:24 a.m. on I-76 West in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County, Adrian Lopez-Castro, 20, of Malvern, Pennsylvania, was arrested and charged with DUI on view alcohol, police say. Multiple other crashes involved charges for unsafe speed, following too closely, and failure to maintain lane, according to the releases. Additional incidents included hit-and-run crashes on I-95 and I-76, with drivers fleeing the scene after collisions. Police also reported a propulsion of missiles incident on I-76 East in Philadelphia City on June 20, 2026, involving a 54-year-old male victim from Bensalem. Most crashes resulted in minor or no injuries, with vehicles towed from scenes by Philadelphia Parking Authority or private tow companies, the reports state.
